Our First Week at Nim Yoga

Dear students,

As we close our first official week at Nim Yoga new location, I want to sincerely thank you for being part of it.

What began as a clear vision, shaped through steady commitment to this method, has grown into a larger, more centrally located space that allows Nim Yoga to serve a broader community in New Orleans. Seeing it fully operational has been deeply meaningful.

I am grateful for how the studio feels. It is simple, intentional, and focused.  The ideal space for growing a community around the foundations of the beautiful method we teach.

The Kaiut community started a long before the doors officially opened at the Tchoupitoulas location, with a small group who committed early to Nim Yoga. I recognize them as the Founding Members - or our OGs, Original Gangsters.

They trusted the process and provided stability and momentum at a pivotal moment. This expansion rests, in part, on their belief in the work.

I am equally grateful to have Elizabeth Bofinger teaching at Nim Yoga. She brings thoughtful presence and a grounded understanding of injury and chronic pain shaped by her own recovery journey. I encourage you to experience her classes.

This Sunday we begin our monthly Community Series — Kaiut for the Bodies that Shape New Orleans. Beginning in April, it will be offered on the first Sunday of each month, with a different theme shaping each gathering.

The March session will exceptionally be held on March 8th — a grounding and celebratory gathering to mark the beginning of the series on International Women’s Day. We will close the session with a 15-minute meditation accompanied by Tibetan singing bowls played by Mary Lou Bensabat, one of our Founding Members.

You may reserve your spot here.

Additionally, In the coming days, a very few additional opportunities will open to join the Founding group and become part of this studio’s earliest expansion phase. If that level of commitment speaks to you, just reply to me and I'll send you the details.

Kaiut Yoga is a long-term, process-oriented practice. What we are building is steady, intentional growth within the New Orleans community.

With appreciation,

Carla Nimrichter
